The results of the mid-term elections for the US Congress show that Aisha Wahab, the Democratic representative and politician of Afghan origin, is significantly ahead of her opponent. Ms. Wahab won 58.5% of the vote over San Francisco Bay Area Transit Authority Board Chair Melissa Hernandez.
