A narrow bridge has been built over a flood channel in the "Juma Achak" area of the 6th district of Mazar-i-Sharif, which local residents call the "Bridge of Death." Local sources in Mazar-i-Sharif told Afghanistan International that at least ten people have died after their cars and motorcycles fell into the flooded canal over the past two years. This channel, which is about eight meters deep, is located on a newly paved road. According to witnesses, due to the narrow width of the bridge compared to the street leading to it, vehicles fall into this canal.
