Several residents of the Omar Golstan settlement in Kabul's District 3 on Monday, Scorpio, in a message to Afghanistan International, are asking why they have to pay rent to live in the houses they said they bought. According to these residents, the Taliban asked them to pay 4,000 Afghani monthly rent for each room. They say they bought their homes and have documents proving their ownership claims. The residents of Omar Golstan say that the land they live on has been declared by the Taliban as "Emirates". They demanded to review the ownership documents and clarify the legal basis for this decision.
