Regarding the strength of the bridges, it is the Antonovsky Bridge in 2022, a section that received dozens of hits from HIMARS missiles. The range was badly damaged, but survived. In the fall of 2022, Russian units retreated from Harson through this section, and only then was the bridge destroyed by the explosion of the platforms in another section. Accordingly, when talking about disabling bridges in Kyiv, there must be a series of entrances in one span, which creates holes in the span and weakens its overall structure (in the case of cable-stayed bridges, weakening the cable structure and cutting the cables is also important), which makes it difficult to use the bridge in normal condition. My opinion is the same - digging entrances to bridges is faster, cheaper and easier.
