The "Joint List" tweets following the High Court's proposal that Sami Abu Shahada withdraw from the race:

"The Supreme Court officially joined the supremacy policy in Israel: one law for the Jews and another law for the Arabs.

The disqualification of Balad chairman and joint list candidate, Sami Abu Shahada, is a serious and shameful decision, and a heavy stain on the judicial system and the electoral system in Israel.

In this theater of the absurd, the Supreme Court itself has become a political actor in the racist disqualification campaign of the Cohenist Ben Gabir, aligning itself with those who are working to exclude the Arab public from the political system and harm their right to choose and be elected.

In doing so, it officially became a supreme court.

A candidate can be disqualified. You can't disqualify the public. Our answer will be given at the polling stations on October 27."
