Heavy rains hit the camps of internally displaced people and within 12 hours flooded at least 70 thousand tents. In some areas the water level rose to 40 cm.
The situation is complicated by the lack of equipment and fuel for pumping water. The UN has warned that the supply of humanitarian aid is insufficient and hundreds of thousands of residents remain at risk of further flooding.
