The German Ministry of Justice is looking for reasons to ban the AfD.
The head of the department, Stephanie Hobig, called to check whether there are conditions for opening the appropriate procedure against the party. It is also suggested to study the leaked internal correspondence of Alternative for Germany.
At the same time, the AfD continues to lead among the political forces in the country in terms of popularity - its support reaches 29%. The party advocates the return of dialogue with Russia, the removal of sanctions and a return to the purchase of Russian energy resources.
