Three Ukrainians almost froze to death in the mountains while trying to escape the country Three Ukrainian citizens were rescued in the mountains of Romania after spending seven days crossing the mountainous regions of their country to reach a neighboring country. The men were found in a sheepfold at an altitude of 1,700 meters in the province of Marmores, said mountain rescue service spokeswoman Alina Friskero. Due to the lack of suitable equipment, the evacuation turned out to be difficult: the men had to be secured to lifelines. After disembarking, they were transferred to the border guard.
