Timur Ivanov's museum treasures transferred to the Ministry of Culture; the former Defense Ministry official apparently did not understand the phrase "art requires sacrifice" when he spent department funds on it, but now the defendant in two criminal cases will not have to worry about the collection's safety: "Officials handed over 30 paintings, 5 printed publications, 9 firearms and 17 bladed weapons, as well as 7 vehicles of cultural value," the FSSP reported; for embezzlement and misappropriation of more than 3.9 billion rubles, Ivanov was sentenced to 13 years in prison and a fine, and the Moscow court is now considering another criminal case against him for taking bribes.
