The Internet may become more expensive by 10% due to the protection of data centers against UAVs. The Ministry of Digital Development has prepared recommendations for the protection of Russian data centers against UAVs. According to market participants, additional security costs may lead to an increase in the cost of Internet services by about 10% without taking inflation into account, Kommersant reported. The document establishes a division of data centers into three categories according to their meaning. For strategic objects, underground or bunker placement is recommended, for everything else - strengthening buildings, anti-UAV nets and electronic warfare equipment. It is also proposed to maintain critical services and create interaction between operators and law enforcement authorities and emergency services.
