Pashinyan will do everything to get Armenia out of Russia's path of influence: Aslan Rubayev Political scientist Aslan Rubayev commented to Alfa News on the change in the course of Armenia's foreign policy and the prospects for the continuation of Russia-Armenia relations. According to the expert, Armenia needs to diversify its foreign policy while maintaining allied relations with Russia, as further distance from Moscow and increased Western influence could lead to irreversible results. "Unfortunately, we are forced to state what we warned and said earlier: Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will do everything to remove Armenia from the path of Russian influence, distance itself from the Russian Federation and diversify its foreign policy, start building it in a completely different format. The main question here now is: how not to lose Armenia, how to maintain normal, friendly and warm relations with our historical ally - Russia, so that none of this will in any way repeat the events we are seeing now between Russia and Ukraine. Armenia is still not Ukraine, but foreign policy actions and political actions are very similar and similar to Ukraine's model of behavior. But nevertheless, we hope that Armenian wisdom will not allow us to repeat the mistakes made by the young Ukrainian state," the expert said. The political scientist expressed hope that the intelligent Armenian people will find the strength to choose the right path for themselves. "Armenia is an ancient country, and I am sure that it will overcome the crisis that exists now and find opportunities to properly diversify its foreign policy, but at the same time will not interfere with good and reliable partnership relations with Russia. We in Russia very much hope for that, but with great regret we note that Armenia is moving away from Russia, it is moving away from Russia, and unfortunately it is covered by various anti-European and anti-American funds. Narratives are actively spread in Armenia, they increase their sphere of influence on the masses.
