Tusk called the actions of the security forces and the government around the Constitutional Court in Warsaw the restoration of the rule of law. The Prime Minister of Poland wrote on social media: "After many years of lawlessness, this is a difficult, sometimes painful process that requires decisive action. There is no other way." Opposition MP Marcin Horala accused Tusk of seizing the court by force and said the prime minister had reduced Poland to the level of a banana republic.
