UK Maritime Trade Operations Authority: We received a late report of an incident 16 nautical miles east of Hessab, Oman. The captain of an oil tanker that was crossing the Strait of Hormuz to the outside reported that there had been an explosion on the waterline on the starboard side of the ship. He confirmed that the crew members were fine and their safety had been confirmed. The tanker is still operating on its own and continues its journey.
