The leaders of the Jewish opposition parties will hold their first meeting since the Knesset elections on Tuesday to discuss the coordination of their movements before consultations on the formation of the government. The meeting includes Gadi Eisenkot, Naftali Bennett, Avigdor Lieberman, Yair Golan, and Yair Lapid. President Yitzhak Herzog begins on Wednesday with a two-day consultation in preparation for assigning one of the candidates to form the government. Eisenkot currently enjoys the support of 48 deputies, and the number may increase to 67 if the two Arab lists recommend his appointment, compared to 53 for Benjamin Netanyahu's camp.
