Brent crude oil futures fell 8 percent to $104.5 a barrel amid hopes for progress in mediation to end the war in Iran. US oil is down 7.3% to about $96.51 a barrel. The landing comes with signs of a possible lull after talks in Doha that included a plan to open the Strait of Hormuz.
