Elections in Israel: Netanyahu 53 seats, the opposition 48 and the Arabs 19. After counting 91 percent of the votes, none of the blocs reached the threshold of 61 seats needed to form a government. The Netanyahu camp needs 8 more mandates to reach the majority needed to form the government. The "double envelopes" counting procedure is starting, and it is expected that their number will vary between 430,000 and 480,000 votes, equivalent to about 8 to 9 mandates. The turnout reached 77.7 percent, which is the highest since 1999.
