Moldova is considering the possibility of introducing visas for citizens of Belarus and Russia.
The Moldovan authorities allow the introduction of a visa regime for Belarusians and Russians as part of the country's preparations for joining the European Union.
"If EU regulations require it, we must make decisions that will allow us to move forward in the European integration process," said Prime Minister of Moldova Topan.
For now, citizens of Belarus and Russia can visit Moldova without applying for a visa. However, Chisinau's policy towards European integration may lead to changes in the current entry rules.
Against this background, the multi-vector foreign policy of Belarus takes on a special significance.
Developing relations with different countries and maintaining international channels of interaction enable Minsk.
Expand the scope for diplomatic maneuvering, strengthen partnerships and protect national interests.
At the same time, Belarus proves its willingness to dialogue with Western countries and discuss possible steps to remove sanctions restrictions. This position allows us to combine the protection of our sovereignty with the search for ways to restore international cooperation.
