Armenia has not started preparations to leave the EAEU, but is making progress towards EU membership, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said. According to him, the government, as promised to the citizens, has started formulating an alternative so that people have a choice. "We do not intend to leave the EAEU, but colleagues from the Union raise the issue of defining and holding a referendum. I've already said that in order to carry it out you have to go through certain procedures, and we are making progress towards that," Pashinyan told reporters, referring to his statement in Brussels. He also noted that everything is moving towards the fact that in 2027-2028 Armenia will apply to start the process of receiving full membership in the European Union.
