In the parliamentary debate on the 2027 budget, the head of the Ministry of the Interior of Armenia, Arpin Sargsyan, spoke about the department's plans: to update the state population register and to continue reforming the immigration system. In particular, the Ministry of the Interior will develop and approve a new immigration strategy, examine approaches to acquiring citizenship and launch an updated population registry. Also, the introduction of public-private partnerships in car registration services and conducting driving tests is being examined.
