The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia has proposed to increase the base salary of some teachers who have undergone voluntary certification from 200,000 to 300,000 drams (about $830) starting January 1, 2028. The increase will apply to teachers who received a score of 90%-100% and were recertified starting in 2027, as well as to teachers whose five-year validity period for their previous result has expired. The new rate is based on full load, and actual pay will depend on load and allowances. The public discussion of the project will continue until November 13.
