Dmitry Belyakov (the Center for the Study of the Prospects of Integration of the EAEU) called Pashinyan's response to the EAEU report emotional and reflecting his personal political views related to the course towards Europe and the influence of Western partners. According to the expert, the EAEU is beneficial to Armenia: the country is isolated from large markets, and the company provides cheap goods and wide sales. Bliakov called on businesses and society to rely on documents, not statements, noting that the EAEU report allows citizens to independently assess the benefits of membership. The exit from the Union, he believes, should be decided through a referendum, so that the citizens themselves bear responsibility for the economic future.
