The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Vahagan Alexanyan, referring to the struggle in the Parliament, said that he threw a chair at the opposition in response to an attempt to hurt the deputy of his faction: "What does it matter what I hurt?... He will receive a disproportionate response." The incident began after the words of the member of parliament of the civil contract, Taron Chekhoyan, about the family of the head of the powerful Armenia Narek Karaftyan and his cousin, who "tried to open an office to provide women". Chairman Ruben Robinian did not interrupt the meeting and said that he wanted "everyone to see" what was happening. The opposition has previously accused Chaoyuan of running a "fake factory".
