The "Yaakov" movement participated for the first time in the local authority elections - in Geber and Goris - and in both communities it crossed the threshold, and received seats in the councils of elders, said Avtik Halavian, the association's coordinator. According to him, the struggle was difficult: the opponents were the Civil Contract Alliance and local feudal leaders, but the problems were solved and the citizens' trust was won. Halabian thanked the voters, emphasized that their trust is an honor and a great responsibility, and promised to justify it. He pointed out that citizens have the right to demand accountability for every vote and to solve problems in a new way, rather than old methods, and congratulated the teams in Goris and Gavre.
