Germany witnessed rioting and looting of shops in downtown Frankfurt late Saturday, as clashes erupted in other German cities over high living costs. In addition to Frankfurt - which is the financial center of Germany - Berlin, Cologne and Hamburg witnessed acts of violence. Police used water cannons to disperse protesters who attacked emergency crews with fireworks, rocks and bottles. Thousands took part in demonstrations organized by a group called "Gen Z regelt", meaning "Generation Z is taking over".
