The Iranian Revolutionary Guards Navy said that two oil ships trying to pass through what it described as "unauthorized routes" in the Strait of Hormuz caught fire and were stopped.
It claims that the two ships turned off their navigation systems and tried to exit the strait with the support of the US military.
