The director of the international cooperation department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, Kutaiba Kadish, met with the charge of affairs at the Dutch Embassy, Alexander Geertz.
The meeting discussed the bilateral relations between Syria and the Netherlands. Both sides discussed the need to redesign and develop funding mechanisms, in accordance with the presence of a legitimate central government and the emerging political changes in the region.
In this context, the Netherlands announced the allocation of 100 million euros for the provision of humanitarian support for 2026, through the United Nations and international non-governmental organizations, in addition to a contribution of 15 million euros to the START fund, which was announced this month in Bangkok in collaboration with the World Bank.
