Al-Shara'a for an Iraqi channel:
In 2003 there was talk of US troops entering Iraq.
My sense of solidarity made me go to Iraq to protect its people and confront the American soldier at that time.
That was my main motivation; I had no organizational affiliations.
In fact, I went to Iraq before the Americans entered; I went there to wait for them to come.
I went alone, without any organizational affiliation.
