Syrian government statement:
Communication channels continue and are now being opened with our brothers in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to discuss the situation and emphasize the importance of joint territorial and security coordination for any step related to the border areas, in a way that will preserve the sovereignty of the Syrian Arab Republic and preserve the security and stability of the two brotherly countries."
