Turkey's long-range air defense missile "Savar Block-2" managed to change its target in flight for the first time during a test launch.

After launch, the target information was updated in flight, and the missile was able to destroy the new target using the trajectory guidance system and the final trajectory.

The "Sabre Block-2" missile was developed by the companies Roketsan, Aselsan and the Turkish Institute for Scientific and Technological Research in cooperation with about 1,000 subsidiary companies. It has a range of about 150 kilometers, can reach heights of up to about 30 kilometers, and is designed to intercept fighter jets, helicopters, drones and cruise missiles.

The ability to change the target in flight allows operators to avoid wasting missiles when threat priorities change or when the initial target is neutralized by another system.
