Commercial satellite images reveal the acceleration of domestic missile production capabilities in Saudi Arabia!
Researchers' analyzes of commercial satellite images - according to Reuters - indicate that Saudi Arabia appears to be expanding its ballistic missile facility in Sana'a, with the goal of producing larger solid-fuel missiles.
In the photos taken between April 2025 and September 2026, a new building can be seen in the "Dawadami" compound - located about 200 kilometers west of Riyadh - with an area at least twice the size of the existing facility, and it may be used for casting rocket engines.
A new second building may also be used to store fuel components or finished rocket parts.
Researchers Sam Lear and Michael Deutschman, of the Institute for Foreign Policy Studies, stated that this expansion would allow the kingdom to produce missiles with a longer range or the ability to carry heavier warheads, indicating that the facility could begin production as early as late 2026.
