A German youth movement has called for mass demonstrations in 21 cities on October 31, after unrest spread to France, Italy and Spain.

The initiative, called "Gen Z regelt" (which means "Generation Z solves problems"), plans to hold rallies in cities including Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne and Munich.

Organizers of these demonstrations say they are protesting the deterioration of schools, austerity measures, high living costs, social injustice, forced conscription and climate change.
