The Director of the International Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Kutaiba Kadish, met with the Secretary General of the Qatar Red Crescent, Abdullah Sultan Al-Katan, in the capital of Qatar, Doha.

The Director of the International Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Kutaiba Kadish, met with the Secretary General of the Qatar Red Crescent, Abdullah Sultan Al-Katan, in the capital of Qatar, Doha.

The two sides discussed ways to increase joint cooperation and support the completion of the procedures of the Qatar Red Crescent Mission in Damascus, which contributes to facilitating direct coordination and the development of the partnership between the two sides.

The meeting also discussed opportunities to expand cooperation in essential projects, especially in the health, education, energy, humanitarian response and livelihood sectors, emphasizing the importance of aligning projects and programs with national recovery priorities, and strengthening institutional coordination with the relevant Syrian authorities, in order to achieve integration between humanitarian interventions and their development efforts and improve sustainability.

Both sides emphasized the importance of continued communication and coordination to follow up on the proposed areas of cooperation and discuss practical steps in the next phase.
