US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth wanted to deliver a historic World War II-era bullet associated with Dwight Eisenhower to his Pentagon office.
On February 3, his employees tried to transfer him without the help of specialized secretaries, who were on temporary leave during the government shutdown.
They dropped the figure, puncturing the shell and breaking its rotating base. The damaged model was not moved to its original location.
