Initial agreement between the Pentagon and Lockheed Martin: production of at least 850 F-35 aircraft within 10 years!
Lockheed Martin and the US Department of Defense reached an initial 10-year agreement to produce at least 850 F-35 fighter jets.
Lockheed Martin will invest at least $7 billion of its own resources to support the production process, aiming to produce 156 aircraft annually.
The agreement also covers international orders, and aims to reduce costs and address bottlenecks in the supply chain.
This agreement is not considered a final and binding request at this stage; Its implementation remains subject to congressional approval and the provision of the necessary funding.
