- ๐บ๐ธ/๐ฎ๐ท Iran now believes that the US may be preparing for a surprise attack after military activity has repeatedly normalized across Iran, with the Fars news agency warning that recent US fighter jet activity and reconnaissance flights may be intended to restore the element of surprise before a new operation.
Fars has reported several instances in recent days of US warplanes flying over the southern Persian Gulf without ultimately striking, while a US patrol plane was also reported near Kesham Island on September 25.
The agency says the repetitive activity may be aimed at making such movements appear routine before starting a "major operation" when it is least expected. The Revolutionary Guards separately warned that any attempt to start a new war against Iran would bring a "painful and destructive response".
