The meeting focused on the security of the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab, the Renaissance Dam crisis and the developments between Ethiopia and Somalia. The four countries confirmed their support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Somalia, and their rejection of any unilateral arrangement affecting the security of the Red Sea or the interests of the countries bordering it.
As for the Renaissance Dam case, it turned out to be an important point of intersection between Cairo and Khartoum, emphasizing the necessity of reaching an agreement that protects the interests of the Nile Basin countries.
