Saudi Arabia is preparing to launch an attack against the Houthis to bring back Bab al-Mandab!

Saudi Arabia is preparing to launch a new attack against the Houthis in Yemen, possibly within weeks, with the main goal of rehabilitating the Bab al-Mandab strait and restoring shipping traffic in the Red Sea.

More than 100,000 Yemeni soldiers can be mobilized, with Saudi air support. Riyadh is considering either launching a limited attack on coastal areas or carrying out broader attacks on several fronts across Yemen.

The United States provides intelligence and military advisers, but is not expected to be directly involved in the fighting.

Pakistan has deployed between 30,000 and 40,000 troops inside Saudi Arabia to help defend against Houthi missile and drone attacks.

Riyadh believes that peace talks cannot resume as long as the Houthis control Bab al-Mandab.
