Security alert and major incident: arrests and emergencies around the most important American base in Britain!

British police announced a "major incident" at Ralph Ford Air Force Base, the most important American base in Britain.

Ordnance disposal teams were deployed around the base and in the nearby town of Wilford. Five unidentified men were arrested under the British Explosives Act.

The base houses US strategic bombers, including B-1 Lancers and B-52 Stratofortress aircraft, and has served as a major focus for long-range bombing missions against Iran in recent months.
