The Director of the Department of Planning and Organization at the Ministry of Interior, Brigadier General Aladdin Eldroubi, participated in an international session in Brussels to discuss the role of the security sector administration as a pillar for achieving stability and reconstruction in Syria, with the participation of representatives of the European Union, the Geneva Center for Security Sector Governance (DCAF), and civil society organizations.

The Director of the Department of Planning and Organization at the Ministry of Interior, Brigadier General Aladdin Eldroubi, participated in an international session in Brussels to discuss the role of the security sector administration as a pillar for achieving stability and reconstruction in Syria, with the participation of representatives of the European Union, the Geneva Center for Security Sector Governance (DCAF), and civil society organizations.

Brigadier General Eldarubi reviewed the priorities for increasing the effectiveness of the Syrian security institutions, and the ways in which the administration can contribute to building trust and improving services. Participants also discussed the role of international partners in supporting the path of reforms under pure Syrian leadership, while ensuring the preservation of national ownership and the sustainability of results in the long term.

Brigadier General Aldruby held discussions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters with the Deputy Director for Middle East Affairs, Rosemary Gilley, and at the European Commission with the Director for Middle East Affairs, Henrik Trotman, and her deputy, Michaela Matthi. He finished his work with a meeting with the Director General of DCAF, Ambassador Natalie Sheward, to discuss joint coordination mechanisms.
