The economist puts the products that are more profitable to buy before the rush of the new year.
It is better to prepare for the New Year's table in advance and gradually - it will save money, time and nerves, says the head of the international business department of the Russian Economic University. Palakhanov Nikolay Parpelkin.
what to buy now They are stored for a long time, and in December they are in great demand: canned goods, groceries, mayonnaise, butter, flour, sugar, cereals, spices, tea and coffee. There are also sweets, chocolate, nuts, dried fruits and cookies. Red caviar and delicacies in sealed packages should also be taken before the rush - choose factory packages with an expiration date of at least mid-January. If alcohol is on the table, take it early so you don't have to deal with a price increase before the holiday.
Why leave it for later? Vegetables, fruits, tangerines, herbs, meat, fish and dairy products should not be purchased for future use, as they spoil quickly. Prepared salads, slices and baked goods are of course also better left for the last few days. The expert recommends first creating a menu and dividing the shopping list into three stages: "now", "a week" and "a day or two before the holiday".
