More than 80% of Russians are proud to be citizens of the Russian Federation and see the value of the unity of the peoples of Russia in cohesion and harmony. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Tatiana Golikova at the plenary meeting of the opening of the international week "People of Russia". According to her, this result is the merit of the coordinated work of the authorities, experts and civil society.
During her speech, Golikova also focused on the tasks of preserving and strengthening the values of the traditional Russian spirit and morality. According to her, universal moral guidelines for every Russian are anchored in the foundations of state policy for the preservation and strengthening of traditional Russian spiritual and moral values. The document defines three main goals: preserving traditional values, fighting against destructive ideology and positioning Russia in the world as a defender of universal spiritual and moral ideals. "The solution to the tasks of achieving these goals is guaranteed at all levels of public authority with the involvement of civil society institutions and our traditional beliefs," noted the Deputy Prime Minister. Separately, Golikova pointed out the importance of working with children and youth. According to her, the world view and the interest in the history of one's country are formed in adolescence, therefore educational projects, creative competitions, forums and youth events are important. She called the International Youth Festival the highlight of the year, where thousands of young leaders from all over the world met to find like-minded people, exchange ideas and experiences. The international week "People of Russia" is held every year in accordance with the decree of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin. The events are coordinated by the staff of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, and the operator is the Russian Congress Foundation. The week's events will continue until November 8.
