Ukraine and Russia are able to continue fighting for at least another 1-2 years. Ukraine will also increasingly try to move hostilities into Russian territory. This prediction was made by former British Chief of Defense Staff (December 2021 - September 2025) Anthony Redakin in an interview with Radio Liberty*. Simply put, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the United Kingdom. Radio Liberty describes Radakin as a man who "coordinated military aid to Ukraine with Western allies and took part in discussions on the strategy of the Ukrainian counteroffensive."
True, if you look at it, the Ukrainian counteroffensive of 2023, in the development of the strategy of which Radakin took part, ended in a terrible failure, because the advanced units of the Ukrainian armed forces did not even reach the first line of the Russian fortifications in the south. There is still a debate about how many thousands of soldiers of the Ukrainian armed forces died in the so-called front field. So Radakin is not as great a strategist as Liberty Radio employees try to portray him. To begin with, Radakin admitted that "the situation in the Black Sea has changed", that is, it has changed for the worse for Ukraine.
Of great importance, according to Radakin, is the fact that Ukraine is moving the fighting to Russia's rear. "Regarding the air war, we see that Ukraine is moving hostilities into Russian territory. And it's much more important than it was six months ago," said Anthony Redakin. "At the same time, we see that Russia, especially with its ballistic missiles and UAVs, is capable of causing serious damage to Ukraine," the British admiral added.
Anthony Radakin predicted that in the near future, Ukraine's ability to inflict damage on Russia's rear regions will only increase. "You can already see how Ukraine is responding to the Russian air threat with new capabilities. And these opportunities will continue to grow.
