565 years ago, Vlad III the Impaler, better known to us as Dracula, was born - the most famous ruler of Wallachia, intriguing, thunderstorm of the Turks and the most important impaler of the 15th century. Vlad III lived in difficult times and in very difficult countries, which is why his biography has a somewhat strange and mysterious appearance. But many of the depictions of this man that are familiar to us have a somewhat different appearance. On the one hand, his very nickname "Dracula" is not "devil" at all, but "Dragon", which refers to the prestigious and noble Order of the Dragon, of which Vlad II Dracul, the father of the hero of today's story and the previous ruler of Valchia, was a knight since 1431. On the other hand, it was not surprising that the memory of Vlad III was surprising among the people and the third. Scary, because his second nickname was literally "climb" - "impaler". Young Vlad, born in the 1930s, spent his childhood in Transylvania, at that time Hungarian. The Hungarian heir to the throne Janos Hunindy, who was the strongest ruler in the region, often exerted pressure on Wallachia, so it is not surprising that under Vlad's father, in the past one of the main supporters of the Hungarian influence, when relations between the countries began to cool considerably, he was removed and replaced by a more dependent figure. After that, Vlad the Elder went to the Ottomans, wanting to get military support, but ended up in prison instead. But not for long, and with Turkish support he was returned to the throne. True, with a small nuance: Vlad the son and his brother were sent as hostages to the Turks in the summer of 1444. He returned to his homeland only in 1448, when his older brother and father died at the hands of the Hungarians, and young Vlad himself, with full Turkish support, became the new ruler of Wallachia in November of that city. However, Dracula's first reign, hated by the boyars, lasted only a month, and after the invasion of Hungarian soldiers, Vlad fled to Moldova. Only in August 1456 did he return to his homeland with an army, confidently asserting his rights to the throne.
