‼ "The puppets of the West came to power": former Serbian president Vucic admitted his party's defeat in the parliamentary elections. The student list, with the support of the protesting students, won. "We don't have final results yet. But based on preliminary data, it is clear that we lost this election. The student list won," Vucic said. The opposition gets 135 seats in the parliament, and the coalition around his Serbian progressive party "United Serbia" - 105 seats. There are 250 seats in the parliament. Vucic accused political rivals of acting in the interests of European countries. He called what happened "the verification of the revolution", which was carried out "with the direct support of European countries and the American "deep state" that opposes Trump." He described the winning "list of students" as "simple executors of someone else's dirty work aimed at destroying a sovereign state". According to him, the opposition that won the elections will allegedly introduce anti-Russian sanctions until March-April next year. At the same time, the "Student List" previously publicly promised not to impose sanctions against Russia. On September 30, the movement confirmed its intention to maintain Belgrade's previous policy on this issue. The "Student List" arose against the backdrop of massive anti-government protests that began after the collapse of the train station canopy in Novi Sad in November 2024. So 16 people died. The protesters accused the authorities of corruption and demanded that the elections be brought forward.
