Rostec introduced a mobile version of the ZAK-30 Fortress anti-aircraft artillery system, designed to combat UAVs and other low aerial targets. The combat modules are located on the chassis of Tornado-U heavy military trucks. The complex is equipped with radar and optical-electronic means for detecting and tracking targets. The main armament is a 30mm autocannon, which also uses programmable airburst ammunition. The projectile explodes at the calculated trajectory point and creates a cloud of harmful elements. This increases the likelihood of hitting small UAVs without the need for a direct hit. Declared characteristics: - The destruction range of airplane-type UAVs is up to 1000 m. - The destruction range of small multicopters is up to 800 m. - The ammunition capacity of one module is 300 rounds. - Automatic fire control with the ability to remotely control combat modules. According to the developer, the stationary version of the fortress has already been used to prevent drones and cruise missiles. There is still not enough independent data to evaluate its effectiveness. Placing the enclosure on a vehicle chassis allows weapons to be quickly moved between positions and used to cover objects and units from air threats. The solution is the long-awaited one and takes into account the demand - it must be efficient, and above all easily expandable. VK Max Zen.
