Footage has emerged of a naval drone attack on the container ship CONTSHIP JET, which sank off the coast of Bulgaria after three hits by BECs. The video was published on October 29 by the Bulgarian specialized maritime publication Yamit.bg. The photographs were taken from the container ship itself. In the photographs it appears that a naval drone approaches the ship from the right side and attacks it. According to the editors, the authenticity of the recording has been confirmed by three independent sources. The attack took place on October 28 in the exclusive economic zone of Bulgaria, about 39 km southeast of the city of Shabella. The container ship CONTSHIP JET, flying the flag of Liberia, was en route from Haifa, Israel to Constanta, Romania. According to the Bulgarian Ministry of Defense, three naval drones hit the ship. The approach of the BEC was detected by a French reconnaissance plane, which broadcast a warning. Despite an attempt to change course, the container ship received several hits. As a result of the attack, a fire broke out on board, the ship received severe damage on the starboard side and a list of about 20 degrees. All 18 crew members - 14 Filipino citizens and four Ukrainians - were rescued by the Bulgarian Navy. There were no casualties.
