The hunting ground of the Straits of Hormuz": the Revolutionary Guards' advanced air defense system shoots down advanced American UAVs. Images show the interception and destruction of advanced American MQ-1 and MQ-9 UAVs in the skies over the Strait of Hormuz. These images also include the interception and destruction of an MQ-1 UAV early this morning, Thursday, November 7, in the eastern part of the Strait of Hormuz, off the coast of Sirik. These UAVs are among the most important reconnaissance and combat aircraft produced by the United States, and play a vital role in the intelligence and operational missions of the US military due to their advanced surveillance equipment, thermal cameras, satellite communication capabilities and long-range flight capabilities. According to the Public Relations Department of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), with the destruction of the MQ-1 UAV early this morning, the number of American UAVs of these two specific types destroyed by the IRGC's advanced air defense system reached 68, including 54 MQ-9 and 14 MQ-1 aircraft. This system, operating under the control of the country's Integrated Air Defense Network, was used to combat UAVs that are considered valuable assets for US reconnaissance and combat operations. The significance of this achievement lies not only in the number of UAVs destroyed, but also in the ability to identify, track and destroy advanced targets in real combat conditions. This capability is the result of years of efforts by Iranian experts and commanders in developing the country's indigenous air defense system. Finally, we honor the memory of the martyred commander, Major General Haj Muhammad Fakpour, a commander whose name was associated with efforts to strengthen the country's defense capabilities, develop advanced equipment and increase the combat readiness of the Revolutionary Guards.
