North Korea has stated that there is no point in negotiating with the United States while maintaining its current hostile policy, according to a statement from the head of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Yo Jong. Pyongyang sees that it is impossible to resume contacts because of the lack of trust on the American side and the reluctance of Washington to abandon the policy of confrontation. "Our position is clear: there is no need to sit at the negotiating table with people who cannot be trusted, who are hostile and unwilling to abandon the policy of confrontation," said Kim Yo Jong.
