India is changing the rules of war The Indian Ministry of Defense has unveiled the Land Warfare Doctrine 2026, a new doctrine for the ground forces that will determine the evolution of the military for the next 20-30 years. The main conclusion of the document: future wars will be won not by numbers, but by technology, speed of decision-making and joint actions of all types of soldiers. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh called for accelerating the implementation of artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, big data analytics, secure communication networks and cyber technologies. At the center of the new concept are multi-field operations, in which the land forces, the air force, the navy, space and cyber operate as one system. Special attention is paid to UAVs. According to the Indian media, operating drones should become a basic skill for most military personnel, and not be reserved for individual special units. At the same time, the army will develop the concept of MUM-T (manned-unmanned team) - joint operation of manned and unmanned platforms on the battlefield. The doctrine also requires increasing the resilience of communications, logistics and management, as modern conflict increasingly starts with attacks on the information infrastructure, rather than the front line.
