Kazakhstan plans to build a strategic national stockpile of at least 150,000 tonnes of uranium by 2050 to fuel its growing nuclear power sector, according to Atomic Energy Agency chief Almsdam Sutclive. The planned stockpile will cover the entire nuclear fuel supply chain, from crude underground stockpiles to processed uranium and finished fuel.
